Refund and Returns Policy

Clear rules for digital purchases, course access, memberships, delivery problems, and billing corrections.

Digital Purchases and Billing

Effective date: August 4, 2026. This policy applies to digital downloads, courses, memberships, subscriptions, recordings, online tools, workshops, and related educational services sold through the State Citizen Trust Academy.

1. Digital Products — All Sales Final

All sales of digital products are final. State Citizen Trust does not provide refunds, returns, exchanges, or cancellations for digital products once a purchase has been completed.

This includes downloadable guides, checklists, worksheets, templates, reports, document packages, recorded workshops, digital educational materials, software or online tools, course resources, and other electronically delivered products.

Because digital products are delivered electronically and cannot be physically returned, purchasers are responsible for reviewing the product description before completing a purchase.

2. Reasons That Do Not Qualify for a Refund

A refund will not be provided because a purchaser:

  • Changed their mind or no longer needs the product;
  • Did not read the product description;
  • Did not download, access, complete, or use the product;
  • Expected information, features, or services not included in the description;
  • Purchased the wrong product;
  • Lacks compatible software, equipment, internet access, or technical ability; or
  • Expected legal representation, legal advice, individualized legal services, or a particular result.

3. Delivery and Access Problems

If you do not receive access to a purchased digital product, contact State Citizen Trust so we can restore access, resend the download link, or provide a replacement copy.

Technical delivery assistance does not create a right to a refund. If a file is corrupted or cannot be opened, we will provide a working replacement when the problem is confirmed.

4. Duplicate, Incorrect, or Unauthorized Charges

Contact us promptly if you were charged more than once for the same transaction, charged an incorrect amount, or believe a transaction was completed without your authorization.

Verified duplicate or incorrect charges may be corrected or refunded to the original payment method. We may request the order number, transaction date, billing email, and other information reasonably necessary to investigate the charge.

5. Online Courses

Course purchases are digital purchases and are final. No refund will be issued after course access has been granted, regardless of whether the purchaser completes the course, views the lessons, takes the quizzes, downloads course materials, or uses the account.

6. Memberships and Subscriptions

Membership and subscription payments are non-refundable after the applicable billing period begins. A membership or subscription may be canceled to prevent future renewal charges, but cancellation does not create a refund for the current or any previous billing period.

Failure to use a membership, course, resource, or account does not qualify the purchaser for a refund.

7. Workshops, Recordings, and Educational Services

Purchases of recorded workshops, replays, and electronically delivered event materials are final.

Live events, appointments, record reviews, and other scheduled educational services may have separate attendance, rescheduling, cancellation, or preparation terms stated on the applicable product, registration, or booking page.

8. Educational Use; No Guaranteed Outcome

State Citizen Trust provides educational information and resources. Purchasing a product does not create an attorney-client relationship, provide legal representation, guarantee a legal or administrative result, replace advice from a licensed attorney, or guarantee that any court, agency, employer, financial institution, or other party will accept or act upon the information provided.

Dissatisfaction with a legal, administrative, financial, professional, or personal outcome is not a basis for a refund.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact State Citizen Trust before filing a chargeback or payment dispute so we have an opportunity to investigate any delivery or billing issue.

Filing a chargeback after receiving access to a digital product may result in suspension of download, course, membership, or account access while the matter is reviewed.

10. Legal Exceptions

Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

11. Related Terms

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and the disclosures shown on the applicable product, course, membership, event, or checkout page.

12. Contact

For billing, delivery, or account-access questions, use the Academy Contact Page. Include your name, purchase email address, order number, purchase date, and a concise description of the issue.
